Forest and Swamp Chronicles

Tiger: The King of the Forest

Tigers are iconic symbols of strength and resilience, inhabiting forests across Asia. These magnificent predators, including the Bengal, Siberian, and Sumatran tigers, rely on dense forest environments to hunt, breed, and raise their young. With their striped coats, tigers are masters of camouflage, blending seamlessly into the dappled light of forest floors.

Tigers are solitary hunters, stalking prey such as deer, wild boar, and buffalo. Their large territories often span hundreds of square miles, making intact forests essential for their survival. Beyond providing shelter and food, forests also act as natural water regulators, ensuring the availability of freshwater for both tigers and their prey.

Unfortunately, tigers face numerous challenges, including habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict. Conservation programs like "Project Tiger" in India focus on protecting forest habitats, enforcing anti-poaching laws, and involving local communities in tiger conservation efforts.
